About Us
DMA Health Strategies (DMA) provides effective, data driven strategies for health systems change and quality improvement. Our work includes strategic planning, change management and quality improvement with public and private organizations across the country. We are committed to improving health and behavioral health services through the careful review of policy options, grant preparation, change strategies, supporting quality improvement collaboratives, and assisting with large public procurements.
Since 1987 DMA has provided services that combine our experience in management, organizational behavior, research methods, public policy, and systems analysis. We have assisted public and private agencies that provide mental health, substance abuse, medical services, child welfare, and mental retardation services. Much of our work has involved the design, procurement and implementation of managed care and blended funding initiatives for states and counties. These projects have involved Medicaid, Title IV, and state and local funds for the delivery of health care to people with disabilities, special needs children, children in foster care, and individuals with mental illness and/or addictions. Over the last several years, these projects have incorporated the principles of consumer and family driven care planning. Increasingly, our work has also included performance measurement and research on quality and cost effectiveness in publicly funded healthcare systems.
Each public agency has a unique set of organizational, political, regulatory, legal, and financial requirements. We pride ourselves on developing a customized solution for every client. We are particularly effective at balancing the needs of multiple constituencies to create workable and politically viable solutions.
