Bio

Talia Hahn is an experienced Associate with a demonstrated history working in the behavioral and public health field. Talia conducts policy research and provides technical assistance on health reform and human services including the integration of behavioral health services into primary care, addiction treatment, and other projects at federal, state and local levels. She provides quantitative and qualitative data analysis of access, utilization, and costs of the behavioral health system. Talia supports projects through client and project management, development of surveys, interviewing, data analysis, and report writing. Talia has been a member of DMA’s cooperative since inception, and has served as Board Secretary and Treasurer.

Currently Talia leads the data management, analysis, and evaluation project management for a Health Resources and Services Administration funded Pediatric Mental Health Care Assess Program in Maine, a Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) funded Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic program in Wisconsin and a SAMHSA funded Medication Assisted Treatment-Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction grant in Massachusetts. Since 2015, she has been coordinating the annual Independent Peer Review process on behalf of the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction services. Talia also supports writing of the Massachusetts Coalition of Suicide Prevention’s annual report. Additionally, helps community behavioral health providers with quality improvement initiatives including summarizing patient satisfaction survey data into actionable recommendations. Talia was part of the national evaluation team for SAMHSA’s Children’s Mental Health Initiative Expansion for over five years.

Prior to joining DMA in 2014, Talia held various summer research positions and also served as an AmeriCorps Direct Service member with Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters, where she coordinated hands on cooking and nutrition courses for low-income families. In January of 2019, Talia received her Master’s in Public Health with certificates in Health Policy and Law, and Mental Health and Substance Use from Boston University’s School of Public Health. She also holds a B.A. in Behavioral Neuroscience from Connecticut College.
